Story analytics & guided revision
Score your story on craft dimensions and work through ordered revision passes — coaching, never a rewrite.
The Revision tab on a document adds two AI tools on top of the free deterministic checks: a story score, and guided revision. Both observe your writing and coach you — they never rewrite your prose or add sentences. They are part of your private writing activity, so they are off until you turn writing activity on.
What it costs
Both tools spend credits, disclosed on the button before you run them: scoring a story costs a few credits, and each revision pass costs a couple. You are only ever charged when you press the button. The score and pass results store numbers and coaching notes, never your document text.
Story score
- Four dimensions — the score rates story arc, conflict pacing, emotional pacing, and ending strength from 0 to 100.
- Observations — alongside the scores you get short, neutral notes about what the coach noticed — what to consider, not what to change.
- Re-score any time — run it again after revising to see how the numbers moved.
Guided revision
- Ordered passes — revision runs in a fixed order — structure, motivation, dialogue, description, pacing, line, then proof — so you fix the big things before the small ones. You run the next pass; you cannot skip ahead.
- Coaching per pass — each pass gives you what to look at, a checklist to self-review against, and questions to ask yourself.
- A measured delta — each completed pass records how a deterministic craft measure of your draft moved since the previous pass, so you can see progress.
